Swadhar Greh: 2016-17 to 2020-21

The Swadhar Greh (SG) scheme assists women victims of difficult circumstances who are in need of institutional support for rehabilitation. It is aimed at helping women lead their life with dignity. Provisions under the scheme include providing shelter, food, clothing and health as well as economic and social security for these women. The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. It provides for setting up Swadhar Grehs (Shelter Homes) in every district with a capacity of 30 women.
