About the Budget

1.In the budget document of Ajmer Municipal Corporation, detailed estimates are presented for each functionary, function head, major head code wise. The same presentation has been followed in the datasets. 2. Major Code, Minor Code and descriptions are based on the National Municipal Accounting Manual. 3. In the Revenue Receipts sheet, Property tax includes Urban Development Tax and not kept as a separate account. 4. The Unit of amount in the original budget document and in the dataset is 'Lakh'. 5. Although the Union, the State Budgets and many Rajasthan MC Budgets use the terms Budget Estimates (BE), Revised Estimates (RE) and Actual Estimates (AE), the Municipal Corporation of Ajmer uses Proposed Budget, Approved Budget and Actual Data in place of these terms. In order to follow the same pattern in the database as in the budget documents, we have kept the terminology as used in the budget documents.
