North Delhi Municipal Corporation Budget

North Delhi Municipal Corporation budget shows details of receipts and expenditures of the local body. Volume I of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation Budget provides details of non-plan expenditure and income of the corporation. Volume II of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation Budget provides details of plan receipts and and expenditure. This volume also contains Resettlement Colonies account.

About the Budget

1. The Budget of North Delhi Municipal Corporation is presented in four volumes-(a) Volume I- Details of Non Plan Expenditure and Income (b) Volume II- Details of Expenditure Income of Plan Schemes and Resettlement Colonies. (c) Volume III- contains schedule of taxes, statement of deposit works, details of loans and details of grants in aid. (d) Volume IV - gives the details of employees, grades and pay scale
2. Only Volume I and II are considered for budget allocation for various heads in a given time period. Volume III and IV are in the nature of supporting budget documents .
3. In Volume I, for the revised budget estimates and the budget estimates, three versions are given- proposed by commissioner, recommended by standing committee and those approved by the corporation.
4. This data set presents the estimates as approved by the corporation as these are the final numbers.
5. As the Volume I covers only the non-plan component of the budget, the receipts and expenditure are mainly revenue in nature.
6. The Non-Plan receipts and expenditure are arranged Department wise and Account Head wise in the budget document. The sub-totals are given department wise. The same arrangement is followed in the data set
