Guwahati Municipal Corporation Budget

Guwahati Municipal Corporation budget provides account-wise details of different types of receipts, both revenue and capital. It also provides details of expenditure, revenue and capital, incurred for various functions it performs.

About the Budget

1. The Guwahati Budget presents the receipts and expenditure account head wise.
2. This data set contains the details given in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 budget documents.
3. The receipts and expenditure have been split into Revenue and Capital with reference to page number 23, 25 and 26 of the 2014-15 budget document. Page references are PDF pages.
4. The account codes are not as per the National Municipal Accounting Manual. We could not access the Assam municipal accounting manual. Nevertheless, the budget document gives the description of the Major Account Head and the detailed head. We filled up the minor code descriptions whereever they were given. The major head descriptions are given in the summary budget and the minor head, detailed head descriptions are given in the detailed budget.
5. Expenditure on Urban Poor have been disclosed as an annexure in the budget document. We have reproduced those details. These details are only by way of disclosure. These items are already reflected in the revenue and capital expenditure.
