Bhopal Municipal Corporation Budget

Budget of the Municipal Corporation of the city of Bhopal provides details of the corporation’s sources of income and use of these resources. It contains department (function group) wise details of different types of receipts, both revenue and capital, including tax and non-tax receipts, receipts from sale of fixed assets, grants, etc. It also provides details of expenditure incurred, both revenue and capital, for various services provided.

About the Budget

1. This data presents only the 2014-15 budget of Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
2. The budget is arranged department (function group) wise. Within each department, receipts and expenditure are arranged function, functionary wise. The detailed descriptions are account code wise.
3. We have given the account head wise details in the data set and the sub-totals department/function group wise. Additionally, we have given the summary of receipts and expenditure, function and functionary wise.
4. The disclosures in the budget regarding the allocations for the urban poor are given in the data set. The expenses for the urban poor are part of the overall expenses. It is given separately only by way of disclosure.
5. Deposits and Advances have been shown as part of capital receipts and expenditure. We have retained the presentation given in the budget document so as to tally the balances with the summary in the budget document.
6. The terminology used in the budget document are Receipts and Payments.
7. There are a number of acronyms in the budget document. We have done our best to interpret as many of them as possible.
