One Stop Centre
One Stop Centre is a scheme intended to support women affected by violence in public and private spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. It is being implemented since April 2015 under the Ministry of Women and Child Development. In addition to the 36 centres that were started in the first phase, 150 centres were operationalised in the second phase. It is implemented by the States/UTs through the Nirbhaya Fund, which is a non-lapsable corpus fund for safety and security of women. The scheme aims to facilitate emergency and non-emergency acess to a range of services including medical, legal, and psychological and counseling support under one roof. This scheme has been merged with Sambal sub-scheme under Mission Shakti.
